Process and Fees

Gina provides comprehensive immigration psychological evaluations tailored to the unique needs of each case. Evaluations include one-on-one clinical interviews with the applicant, which may be completed over two 1-1.5 hour sessions or in a single 2-3 hour session, depending on comfort and availability. Evaluations can be conducted in Gina’s Garden City, NY office or virtually. Interpreter services are available, if needed, and included in the fee.
Each evaluation includes standardized psychological assessments to identify symptoms such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or emotional distress. These clinical findings help support a wide range of immigration cases, including extreme hardship waivers, asylum, VAWA, U and T visa petitions, and more.
Gina integrates interview findings and psychological test results into a detailed, evidence-based report, typically 12–15 pages in length. Every report is crafted to meet USCIS and immigration court standards, providing credible support for attorneys and clients. Additional assessments may be included based on the applicant’s visa type or specific case needs.

Gina conducts each immigration psychological evaluation using evidence-based practices to assess the applicant’s mental health and immigration-related hardships. Her approach is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive, allowing the interview to move at the applicant’s pace to ensure a safe and supportive experience.
By gathering detailed information through clinical interviews and assessments, Gina creates a strong foundation for a thorough and credible report. She also works collaboratively with immigration attorneys to clearly communicate the psychological impact and legal relevance of the applicant’s challenges—helping to strengthen the overall case.
-
Gina’s immigration mental health evaluations include a thorough review of relevant documents, personal and family history, a clinical interview, and standardized psychological assessments. She uses evidence-based tools to objectively assess for emotional and psychological distress—enhancing the report’s credibility.
Each evaluation integrates findings from the DSM-5 (when applicable), though a formal diagnosis is not required for approval of a hardship waiver. Gina focuses on the applicant’s personal story and emotional hardship, clearly outlining the psychological toll of trauma, separation, or abuse.
With advanced training in immigration evaluations, Gina ensures her reports are detailed, persuasive, and aligned with USCIS and immigration court standards—avoiding the common pitfalls of vague or insufficient evaluations.
-
Gina typically completes a comprehensive immigration psychological evaluation report within 2 to 3 weeks after the clinical interview. A draft report is sent to the applicant and their attorney (if applicable) for review. Gina welcomes feedback and will revise the report as needed to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Once all suggested edits are incorporated, a final, signed report is delivered for submission.
